The Global Young Academy provides young researchers with the opportunity to engage in international dialogue to support young scientists around the world, raise public awareness of science, engage in political debate, and foster international and interdisciplinary collaboration. It allows internationally renowned young scientists to come together to discuss issues of global importance.
📝 Membership:
🔸 Open to any research-based science, including the natural, physical and social sciences, and all scientists working in the arts and humanities.
📝 Requirements:
🔸 Applicants must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and a clear commitment to making a difference in society. A doctorate or equivalent program is a basic requirement for applicants.
❗️ Applicants outside this range are encouraged to provide substantiated documents on why their applications should be considered.
📝 Features:
🔸 GYA members attend the annual general meeting and also actively participate in one or more of the organization’s programs, which include policy development, promotion of national youth academies, and support for science and education. If candidates are accepted as new members of the GYA, they will have the opportunity to attend the next AGM, which will be held in Japan on May 16-21, 2021.
